Often a client has a very specific need for training, for example, the use of a core product or technique in a project. We can provide training for such needs. Sometimes the Mentoring or Consultancy model is more appropriate for such work and we are happy to work with clients to design the best vehicle to satisfy their needs.

A recent example is the provision of cross-training for staff with general database DBA experience into core DBA techniques for Oracle 9i and 10g. The staff were able to quickly come to grips with Oracle by capitalising on their current technical knowledge whilst at the same time saving their employer significant sums of money. A time-challenging project was the delivery of a suite of tailored courses aimed at re-skilling established IT specialists in the newer technologies of OO, UML, Java and incremental development methodologies. The result ... the business knowledge stays with the organisation instead of being lost and the team is newly motivated.

We have provided bespoke training in Project Management, Test Strategies, Java Programming, OO / UML Modelling, Transact-SQL, PL/SQL, Project Management, PRINCE2, Enterprise Architect and Eclipse. Although Public Courses are an important part of our business, we believe that the client benefits more from bespoke, on-site, courses and, of course, they are more economical.
